IIMUN is an India based organization that conducts stimulations of different committees of the UNO. It is held once a year in Nepal for students of Nepal. This year the program was held at Bauddha Meridian School for 3 days, in which 16 students from our school took part. Around a month ago, the participating students were assigned a UN member country and a committee along with agenda. Basically participants represented particular countries and discussions were held, where the speakers had to present the views of the country they represented. Through moderated and unmoderated caucus, they came up with 'working papers', which was read by the chair and passed by the committee and the working paper became a 'draft resolution'. After amendments and discussion finally when it was passed by all committee members, it became a 'resolution'. It is a microcosm of parliamentary/UN debates claims the organizers.
